Supaya tidak lost in translation, berikut beberapa slang yang kerap digunakan di Australia:

Ace = excellent

Apples = everything undeer control

Arvo = afternoon

Barbie = barbecue

Bloke = a male

Breakkie = breakfast

Brolly = an umbrella

Cuppa = a cup of tea

Digger = Australian soldier

Dog’s breakfast =  a mess

Fair dinkum = true, genuine

Flush = having plenty of money

G’day = good day

Mate = friend, buddy

Outback = inland Australia

Rego = motor vehicle registration

Sanger = sandwich

Servo = a gas station

Sherbert = a beer

Snag = a light meal, but most commonly a sausage

Ta = thank you

Tinnie = a can of beer

Uni = university

Ute = utility truck or pick up
